5 Tips to help you clear your debt

The main reason for me blogging about this is to help others who may have faced debt problems and need help. Below I am sharing my 5 tipes to help you clear your debt. Don't waste any more time and get started to get your finances sorted.

1. Sort your budget out

First step, make a list of all the bills and things you pay for regularly. Work out all your outgoings. Then you can work out what things are necessary and get rid of things you don't need to be paying for. Once you have your debt sorted then you may be able to get those luxury items at a later date

2. Pay off the highest interest debt first

Go any existing store or credit cards or an overdraft with huge daily fees like I did, then pay off the ones that charge the most interest 1st. This will help you reduce the debt the quickest

I managed to speak to a good friend who runs a payday loan company and he did me a good deal which helped me out loads since I was paying loads for going overdrawn

3. Contact loan providers and ask for a better deal

You might be surprised but by simply contacting your loan providers and saying you are struggling to meet the repayments they might offer a better deal to lower the interest charges you need to pay back.

4. Clear debt first, save later

Everyone wants to have some money for a rainy day. However it's best to put your savings on hold or even use your savings to pay off the debt. Get rid of that debt first then start saving again. 9 times out of 10 the debt will cost you more than you can save up

5. Be Sensible

Don't treat yourself too often. Be careful with your spending at least until you have your finances back in order.

I hope the 5 tips above can help you clear your debt.

To top it off I was facing problems with my finances. I was getting into debt with rent and bills to pay and I just didn't have any money left at the end of each month I started to go overdrawn every month and ended up paying huge fees for every day I was in debt. I managed to sort myself out and this blog is was setup to share my thoughts and to help others who may have got into debt with general saving tips and ways to get out of those stressful situations.

I hope you find it useful as I really was in a bad situation and wouldn't wish anyone else to face the problems I went through
